this is KRI Ahmad Yani, one of FFG of Indonesian Navy. Indonesian Navy has 6 others.
I was posted first time at KRIAhmad Yani, frigate guided missile. There are so many weapons in this ship. Harpoon with 75 nautical miles makes all enemies will think over the ability of this my first ship. Torpedo MK 46 also completed this ship in under water warfare. I very proud with this ship. CONDITION OF INDONESIAN NAVY NOW

Condition of Indonesian Navy now is very disappointing. There are so many problems that almost unbearable. There are so many ideas as well that expressed by lot of experts, but there are no effective solution that accomplish these problems profoundly.

As an Indonesian Navy fan, I want to give my opinion to the reader of this my own website.

As we all know, the main factor that make some country gets honor from other countries is sea power. Because of that fact, paradigm that our country is agriculture country has to be changed. Without stopping the growth of agriculture sectors, we have to start now or as soon as possible to explore and exploit our sea sources. To develop economic benefit of exploration and exploitation of Indonesian sea, it is irrevocable the present of navy power. So, we should change the policy of government and parliament. Base on publication of newspaper about one week ago, the fund from defense department for navy is around Rp 5 trillions. Of course, it is not enough. While the budget for the army is around Rp 16 trillions. From this fact we are able to conclude that our country still land oriented. Maybe just a lip service when our government said that our policy in the future is sea oriented. We have to remember that our country is archipelagic state. As an archipelagic state, we must understand profoundly about many sources that available in the sea, strait, bottom of the sea, and under water. Fishing, mining, rigging, and tourism are many kinds of example that we are able to augment as the benefit of archipelagic country. By this statement, hopefully you are going to understand how important safety in the sea is. We have to defend our sea territory also from the annoyance of our neighbors, especially in the border area. In conclusion, the plan in divide fund from the defense ministry must to be changed. Navy need to get more money to build power of sea that adequate to make safe the running of sea development.
Second factor in improving navy power is reformation in the Indonesian Navy itself. Corruption, collusion, and nepotism have to be finished. From little finance that our Navy gets, we should use it as smart as possible.
The next factor is increasing the quality and mentality of Navy member. Health competition and good management are two things that should to be practiced in the arrangement of navy crew career. There must be available the rule to make the competition in getting promotion and achievement run properly.

By my three opinions above, I assure you if these methods practiced completely, Indonesian Navy is going to be powerful force that able to guard our territorial sea and bargain power with our neighbor.

INDONESIAN NAVY SOURCES

Indonesian Navy Officer Sources

Almost 75% of Indonesian Navy officer was graduated from Indonesian Naval Academy. So, Indonesian Naval Academy is the main sources of Indonesian Navy officer. There is 5 corps in the Indonesian Naval Academy. They are operation, engineering, electrical, supply, and marines. First posting of graduated Indonesian Naval Academy officers usually is at the Indonesian war ships.
Second source of Indonesian Navy officer is bachelor who enrolls to Indonesian Navy sincerely. From this source besides 5 corps above, there is another corps. Specialized officer for instance Chaplain, military advocate, doctor, and lot of teachers usually graduated from this program.
The last source is NCO who passes every test to be officer. Indonesian Navy gives opportunity for NCO by this program. From this program usually become officer appropriate with their specialization before they become officer. For example, if she or he was CIC or bridge crew automatically he or she becomes operation corps officer.

Ing ngarso sung tulodho. It is first method in Indonesian arm forces that all leaders in every unit have to understand exactly. It mean that as a leader must do like a king in giving example to subordinate. Leader has to do everything in correct way and will be followed by all members. In the field of work, leader must give direction and guidance to their subordinate. In the arm forces, the leader has to stand in front of their men and do all duties one step forward. Leader must be a street finder when their unit encounters some problems. A leader is problem solver.

Ing madyo mangun karso. It is second motto. The meaning is leader must join together with all members in doing every duty. They have to be in the middle of their men and give support. They have to generate motivation of their member by put themselves in the part of their member’s activities. Besides these, by joining together with their men, it make easier in controlling them. It has preventive function as well.

Tut wuri handayani. It mean following initiative of subordinate. Of course, in here is good initiative. Sometime member has good idea to make better condition of work or duty. In this condition, as a good leader should follow this fact. Leader must give appreciation to good idea and initiative. Do not be a boast man but please become humble man. Without loosing responsibility, following good idea of member is effective method in leadership.

DEMOCRACY IN OUR COUNTRY

As we all know, after 1998 chaos, Indonesia started to build better democracy in every sector. Like most country in the world, Indonesian chooses their leader and senate directly and freely. Although, there are some mistakes in conducting general election, maybe it is the best way to develop our country started by develops our democracy at first.

Because of unprepared well and there are many problems about economic and government system, the first general election held in 1999, is full of cruelty, crimes and many others that arise as the side impact. However, commission of election or KPU already made good rules about how to conduct campaign, express our supporting, lot of people persist downed to street to fulfill their spirit in supporting their party. Because of that fact, lot of people felt uncomfortable. So many people avoid going anywhere because they are anxious of supporter of parties. Furthermore, many crimes happened at this time, when the campaign was held. Lot of shops and factories closed for that moment because of vandalism and grimaces of the supporter of one party.

Because of that reasons that I have mentioned above, we have to prepare next general election conscientiously and scrupulously. Firstly, I am going to talk about commission of general election rules. Commonly known, this organization is the major player in conducting general election in our country. Their responsibilities are very important, so they have to have higher authorities than all of participants. As the result, they will produce the best rules without disturbing from external side.

Secondly, I would like to give comment about security and defense of government. Although the general election is representative of free expression, people can not do everything that will make chaos. It is responsibility of government to punish who act crime, vandalism and etc. Breaking the law must be handled by strict rule although in general election time.

By the two opinions that I have mentioned above, I assure all reader that our next general election will be conducted more organized and safe.

HOW TO MAKE RELATIONSHIP

Relationship is needed by everyone. We are human. A human is social creature. As a social creature, we need help from others. Because of the fact, everyone tries to build relation with other. By relations that have been built by us, we are going to get some help. In this case, not only get helping from our relations, but also we have to give helping to our relations when they need.

In this essay, I would like to write some methods to get friends and maintain our friendships. First, please open yourself. Do not be introvert person. Show who you are and let others see inside you. Of course not everything is public consume, but do not close yourself from another’s sight. If you are a mysterious one, people will get trace base on their opinion and guess. People frequently wrong in judge others by first sight. So, please show your mind, idea, believe and dream.

Secondly, do not judge others by your glasses. Judge everyone wisely because everyone has their own thinking. True in our mind is not always right in another’s point of view. You must understand the background of your friend. If there are differences between you and friend, do not make it wider and bigger. Better if you avoid this difference and try to distract to another topic. If the difference is very principle, please control yourself and try to be democratic one. If you are a decision maker, make the decision as clear as possible to make clear who one in different side with you but do not confront them, just be careful and watch out if they do some tricky method. You have to straight and again all your enemy totally. Do not hesitate because of having enemies. Never try to make every one satisfy with you, although you have done the best thing.

The third guidance to get good relationship is trust building. Do not spread the secret of your friend. You must keep the privacy of your relation. You must make other enjoy besides you. Please become trustful one.

The next ideas to make good relationship are teamwork and help our relation sincerely. In every relation there are taking and giving. Sometime we get something from our friend, but we have to help our friend if they need our help. Do not be egoistic and opportunistic one. How much you get depend on how much you give. Giving is not only material, but also advice and attention. We have to care about the problem of our friend. Never ignore what their complaint. You must care your friend not only in nice condition, but also sorrow situation.

In conclusion, we need helping of our relation because we are a social creature. Open yourself, be wisely person, trust building and ready to help our friend are main factor in making mutual and long friendship.
